From Masterpieces to Trusts: Swiss Arbitration in Madrid

Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid
13 Apr, 2026

As the international arbitration community gathers in Madrid for the ICCA Congress 2026, Swiss Arbitration invites you to a unique side event combining culture, networking, business, and legal insight.

Hosted by our Swiss Arbitration Ambassadors for Spain, Marco Vedovatti (Bratschi) and Elena Sevila (5Gambit Disputes), in coordination with the Swiss Business Hub Spain, the event will take place at the iconic Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza on Madrid’s renowned Paseo del Prado. The program will include remarks by the Swiss Ambassador to Spain & Andorra, Mr. Heinrich Schellenberg, and is kindly supported by Nivalion and FTI.

Participants will enjoy exclusive access to a private floor of the museum, with the galleries closed to the public for the occasion, including a 45-minute guided tour introducing some of the museum’s remarkable artworks and their historical context.

Alongside the cultural experience and networking opportunities, attendees will also gain insights into the Supplemental Swiss Rules for Trust, Estate and Foundation Disputes (TEF Rules) developed by the Swiss Arbitration Centre. These new rules are designed specifically to address arbitration in private-wealth disputes, including matters relating to trusts, estates, and foundations, and provide tailored provisions.

This event offers a unique opportunity to discover Switzerland’s innovative approach to resolving complex private-wealth disputes while connecting with business leaders, UHNWIs, family offices, asset managers, and arbitration practitioners during one of the year’s leading arbitration gatherings
