Summary: Arbitration: Focus on Emergency Proceedings, Powers of Arbitrators, and Arbitration Rules in Comparison.

Which Chamber of Arbitration should be entrusted with the dispute? This is a question freelancers ask themselves when assisting clients in a dispute. The webinar will therefore compare the best-known arbitration rules in the German and Italian language areas and illustrate their advantages and disadvantages.

Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the urgency procedure and the related protective measures that an arbitrator can take. In principle, an arbitral award has the effect of a final judgment but can be appealed. This topic will also be addressed.

Just as important as the choice of the Arbitration Chamber is the appointment of arbitrators in arbitration proceedings. There are cases in which appointed arbitrators cannot accept the appointment due to a conflict of interest. What these cases are and when it is possible to accept the appointment will be discussed in detail during the webinar.
