Summary:  The ICC YAAF Climate Change and Arbitration conference is taking place in Geneva! Hosted by Lenz & Staehelin, this conference will explore the many repercussions of climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts on international arbitration. Commercial, investor-state and state-state disputes will all be addressed by an incredible lineup of leading young practitioners.

The global economy must cut its carbon emissions almost completely over the coming decades in order to prevent the worst consequences of climate change. Many sectors will accordingly undergo rapid and profound transformations that are likely to generate a large number of disputes. This conference seeks to explore international arbitration’s potential in resolving those disputes. Our talented lineup of speakers will discuss relevant trends in commercial, investment and state v. state arbitration and assess how arbitration’s contributions to the transition to net-zero emissions may grow over the next years and decades.
