ASA Arbitration Retreat organised with DIAC

The Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) is organising the 2026 edition of the ASA Arbitration Retreat in collaboration with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The ASA Arbitration Retreat is based on a format originally developed by ASA in 1997, which has since been followed in annual seminars organised in cooperation with leading arbitration associations and institutions across Europe and Asia.

Over the course of two days, the Retreat will feature in-depth, interactive sessions led by seasoned arbitration practitioners, following the key phases of an arbitration proceeding. Drawing on real-world examples from past cases, discussion leaders will guide participant-led debates highlighting diverse procedural approaches, encouraging innovation, and fostering cross-cultural understanding.

Tailored exclusively for experienced arbitration professionals, the Retreat offers a distinctive opportunity to deepen practical expertise through peer-level exchange, in a setting free from traditional lecture-style presentations.

The 2026 edition will take place at the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, Abu Dhabi, providing an exceptional desert oasis environment designed to support focus, reflection, and meaningful professional exchange.
