ASA Names Andrea Meier as President, Appoints New Vice President and Board Members

At its General Meeting on 25 September 2025, the members of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) elected Andrea Meier of Walder Wyss, Zurich as its 10th President, alongside ten new board members. Andrea has served as Vice President of ASA since 2021. She is succeeded as Vice President by Noradèle Radjai of Lalive, Geneva, who has served on the ASA Executive Committee since 2021. The three-year term of Andrea and the newly elected leadership will begin on 1 January 2026.

Andrea comments on her election as President: “I am immensely grateful for the trust that the members of ASA have placed in me, and I am committed to serving our arbitration community with all the energy I have. ASA is not only a thought leader in the field of international arbitration – it is also an accessible association. It is open to everyone who has ideas and is willing to put in the necessary work to bring them to life. ASA is a house for all arbitration and ADR enthusiasts, for everyone who believes that we should resolve disputes peacefully, and for everyone who is willing to work on keeping our ADR procedures fit for this purpose.”

Noradèle comments on her election as Vice President: “This appointment is a great honour. I am thrilled to continue serving ASA and its arbitration community in this new role, especially alongside Andrea Meier as our esteemed new President, under whose leadership Swiss Arbitration will flourish. I am grateful to my fellow Board members and the ASA membership for their trust.”

Andrea follows the footsteps of Felix Dasser of Homburger, Zurich, who served as ASA President for the last six years. In her speech, Andrea thanked Felix for his leadership and dedication as ASA President. “His achievements are truly remarkable, from being the mastermind behind the long-desired joining of forces of ASA and the Swiss Arbitration Centre, to giving ASA a meaningful and efficient structure, to his personal investment of time by travelling the world to represent ASA. We are deeply grateful and indebted to him and will miss him dearly.”

In her words of farewell, ASA Executive Director Korinna von Trotha thanked Felix for being a “visionary, leader, team player, and person of trust” for the Swiss Arbitration community, who “made us grow individually and as a community”.

Felix says, his terms as President has been a “great experience, and it is wonderful to have Andrea as my successor. As Vice President, Andrea has been exemplary… always considerate, analytical and motivated” and “together with Noradèle and the new board, she will take ASA and Swiss arbitration in general to new heights”.
