Ambassadors on the Go: Spotlight on Germany

In 2023, the Swiss Arbitration Ambassador Programme was launched to connect Switzerland with arbitration communities around the world. Led by Co-chairs Niklaus Zaugg, Benjamin Gottlieb, and Juliette Asso, the programme brings together a dedicated network of ambassadors who foster international collaboration and strengthen cross-border ties.

Ambassadors for Germany, Anna Masser (manner | masser) and David Tebel (rothorn legal), have been actively building bridges between the Swiss and German arbitration communities. Recently, as part of the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days 2026, they organised the panel event “ It Takes Two to Tango – Counsel & Experts Convincing Together”. The session explored how counsel and experts can work together to present a persuasive case, which prompted a lively discussion.

Speaking about her role as Ambassador for Germany,  Anna Masser explains:

“As a German who has practised for seven years in Switzerland and understands the difference in the markets, I think the exchange is vital. Both Germany and Switzerland can learn from each other. Furthermore, I thoroughly enjoy organising events with David Tebel, who made the last one easy to moderate. We discussed the cooperation between counsel and experts and had a vivid discussion with the floor.”

As Germany and Switzerland share a close legal and commercial relationship, events like these create an environment where practitioners on both sides can exchange perspectives and learn from one another’s practice.

Thanks to the Swiss Arbitration Ambassadors, each event they create strengthens the ties between arbitration communities. Their initiatives continue to embody the values at the heart of Swiss Arbitration and carry them across borders.
