The ASA Local Group Geneva is pleased to invite members to its next session, “From Award to Collection: Bridging the Enforcement Gap”, taking place on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, from 17:30 to 20:00 at the CCIG – Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Salle du Conseil, 2nd floor, 4 Boulevard du Théâtre, Geneva.

The session will begin with a brief presentation by Luca Beffa (Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys) introducing the ASA Art Group, ASA’s new Sector Group dedicated to art-related disputes.

The main discussion will then be led by:

  • Laurence Ponty (Partner, Archipel, Geneva)
  • Jurriaan Braat (Managing Director, Portfolio Manager – Global Enforcement, Omni Bridgeway, Geneva)

Obtaining a binding award is one thing. Securing payment is another. Despite a successful outcome, award enforcement often remains one of the most complex and challenging stages of the dispute resolution process. This session will explore the practical, legal and strategic considerations involved in turning an award into a recovery.

Our speakers will examine the interplay between the New York Convention and local enforcement regimes, the challenges posed by sovereign immunity, effective asset tracing and recovery strategies, and the increasingly important role of third-party funding in post-award enforcement proceedings.

The presentations will be followed by an open discussion, where members will be able to share their experiences, exchange views and ask questions. The evening will conclude with a networking cocktail reception on the CCIG premises.
