Arbitration Summer Retreat
The 8th Arbitration Summer Retreat is back from 16–18 July 2026 — and this year, we’re heading to Austria.
Organised by ASA Below 40, DIS40, YAAP, and LISbelow40, the Summer Retreat brings together young arbitration practitioners from around the world for three days of learning, networking, and meaningful professional connections in a relaxed setting near Vienna.
Now in its eighth edition, the Retreat has become a fixture on the arbitration calendar, combining practical career development with the kind of conversations that rarely fit into a conference panel.
Participants will take part in interactive sessions led by experienced practitioners and industry leaders, covering key aspects of professional development, including business planning, personal branding, negotiation skills, client relationships, and time management.
Designed for arbitration practitioners with at least two years of post-qualification experience, whether in private practice, as arbitrators, in-house counsel, or academia — the programme offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with peers from across jurisdictions and backgrounds.
Beyond the seminar sessions, the Retreat remains what it has always been: an opportunity to build lasting professional relationships, expand international networks, and enjoy a few summer evenings with fellow arbitration enthusiasts.
The 2026 edition is co-chaired by Sophia Deuchert, Anna Förstel-Cherng, and Christian Steger.
Registration fee: €380 (excluding accommodation)
Places are limited, and the Summer Retreat traditionally fills up quickly.
See many of you in Austria!
