Trace, Freeze, Recover: Challenges and Practical Tips for Enforcing Arbitral Awards in Greece and Beyond

Academias Hotel, Autograph Collection, Athens Location
25 Nov, 2025

Our Swiss Arbitration Ambassador for Cyprus, Panagiotis Kyriakou, is hosting a side event as part of the Athens Arbitration Days, opening a vital discussion on one of the toughest aspects of cross-border dispute resolution — enforcing arbitral awards.

Titled “Trace, Freeze, Recover: Challenges and Practical Tips for Enforcing Arbitral Awards in Greece and Beyond”, the session will take place on 25 November 2025 from 12:30 to 14:30 (Athens time) at the Academias Hotel, Autograph Collection, Athens, followed by a networking brunch.

Moderated by Panagiotis Kyriakou (Archipel – Swiss Arbitration Ambassador for Cyprus), with a keynote speaker coming soon, the discussion will bring together a panel of experienced practitioners:

  • Eleni Dionysiou (Patrikios Legal)
  • Eolos Rigopoulos (Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler)
  • Yiannis Bazinas (Bazinas Law Firm)
  • Natalia Mouzoula (ALN UAE)
  • Christopher Jeffreys (Burford Capital)

From tracing and freezing assets to overcoming complex enforcement hurdles, the panel will share practical insights and first-hand experiences on how to secure arbitral awards across jurisdictions including Greece, Switzerland, Cyprus, and the UAE. Expect a frank exchange on what works, what doesn’t, and what’s next for practitioners dealing with asset recovery in a global context.

We are proud to have Bazinas Law Firm, ALN UAE, Archipel, Burford Capital as sponsors for this event.

The session is by invitation only. For expressions of interest, please contact pkyriakou@archipel.law.

This event forms part of the official Athens Arbitration Days programme.
